EX-亞洲劇團
「EX」源自英文字彙開頭，如：實驗、交流、探索等；「亞洲」則是肢體語彙和文本隱喻，劇團視演員與文本為溝通與演繹的主要媒介。致力於跨文化劇場創作以及亞洲劇場美學，從土地文化出發，探索多元的戲場語彙，為當代劇場創造新古典表演美學。近年來，多齣製作紛紛入圍重要獎項、受邀國際藝術節參演，為台灣備受矚目、風格獨具，少數以多語言發展文本詮釋的跨文化劇團。We connect the land and the culture;we explore the multi-cultural dialogue with a theatrical expression and we thus create the brand new aesthetics of a neo-classical performing style.
The prefix “EX” signifies various meanings: experimenting, exchanging, exploring, etc. “Asia” is where our performance style and performing text base upon. As suggested by the name of the theatre company, EX-Theatre Asia tends to establish a new symbol system in actors’ physical movement and a new symbolic style in contemporary theatre. Working with talented theatre artists from all over Asia, EX-Theatre Asia desires to further explore the multi-cultural dialogue with a theatrical expression and to establish a neo-classical performing style.
In recent years, EX-Theatre Asia has been nominated by major art awards or invited to international art festivals. As a theatre company that develops theatrical text beyond the language barrier, EX-Theatre Asia indeed presents its unique and irreplaceable aesthetics.
