小提琴明亮易感的音色，往往是述說故事與挑動心弦的最佳代言。出生於東京，加拿大籍的小提琴獨奏家五明佳廉將與臺北市立交響樂團首席指揮吉博‧瓦格共同為愛樂者以小提琴與樂團的對話，述說德奧地區古典時期音樂的光輝。並以精湛、洗練之姿演奏芬蘭作曲家西貝流士三首《幽默曲》，展現小提琴炫麗的風華，在短小精鍊的樂曲中，感受首席指揮為您精心安排的小提琴物語。喜愛小提琴的您一定不能錯過這場經典而精緻的音樂會。
The brilliant and moving sounds of the violin make it one of the best instruments for telling stories and stirring people's emotions. Born in Tokyo, Canadian violinist Karen Gomyo will be performing with TSO Principal Conductor Gilbert Varga, offering music lovers a chance to hear intense dialogues going on between the solo violin and orchestra. The concert will include music from the glorious German and Austrian classical era. Gomyo will also be performing with consummate skill and mastery three of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius' humoresques for violin, exhibiting the dazzling beauty of the violin within several brief succinct pieces. Come experience the overwhelming enjoyment these exquisite violin pieces that Maestro Varga has selected. 自2013年至今，臺北市立交響樂團與吉博‧瓦格的組合已征服無數樂迷，而每場曲目也從古典到現代，橫跨歐洲及美洲，帶領樂迷倘佯在各個不同風格不同時期之音樂。2015年上半年音樂會也將由首席指揮吉博‧瓦格親自領軍，帶領臺北市立交響樂團開啟別具一格的新氣象。
Since its new beginning, the collaboration between the Taipei Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor Gilbert Varga has been warmly received by countless fans. The presented repertoire of each concert program has included music spanning periods from the classical to the modern, as well as musical works from Europe to America. From these concert performances, music enthusiasts have been given the experience of a wide range of musical periods and styles. The first half of the 2015 concert season will also be led by Gilbert Varga himself, who with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra, will bring a fresh and unique approach to the music stage.

小提琴家Karen Gomyo 出生於東京，於蒙特婁與紐約兩地度過童年，曾於2008年獲得至高無上的艾弗瑞．費雪職業贊助金，《芝加哥論壇報》用「具有真正的音樂主導能力、活力、才智與緊湊感的頂級藝術家」歌頌她，而《克里夫蘭平原商報》也曾以「引人入勝、誠摯又扣人心弦、才華洋溢而不只是空泛技巧」來形容這位天才音樂家。
Karen Gomyo使用之史特拉迪瓦利1703年小提琴「極光／埃弗利」，是由私人贊助提供。

Born in Tokyo, violinist Karen Gomyo grew up in Montreal and New York. Recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2008, she has been hailed by the Chicago Tribune as “a first-rate artist of real musical command, vitality, brilliance and intensity”, and described by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as “captivating, honest and soulful, fueled by abundant talent but not a vain display of technique.”
