觀者 不 單身 - The Viewers are Present

在情人節前夕, SiOUSiOU 邀請了四位來自港台, 目前單身的藝術家, 在藝廊與觀者盲目約會. (For English Please Scroll down)

四位藝術家將坐在展場當中, 與簽到的觀者, 四人一桌, 15分鐘相親約會. 每場約會遊戲後的'贏家' 將獲得2/14號情人節當天由白木耳( White Fungus) 在華山主辦的演出活動入場票. 並有4位幸運的觀眾, 會被抽中, 與藝術家本人一起前往.

藉由反轉觀者、作品及藝術家相遇的順序，對話的契機在三者共處之下合理的萌芽。而談話內容，便讓藝術品的生命延續，造就一個城市當代文化的風景。

觀看方式不是單向的，如同與一個人相遇；作品的存在也不是孤立的，我們借用泛哲學的假設─「假如一棵樹在森林裡倒下」。
SiOUSiOU所關注的當代藝術，認為最珍貴的地方，便是觀者、作品與藝術家三者共處的可能。因三方共存、共處而存在的當代現象。
在Joseph Beuys的免費藝術學校、Andy Warhol的Factory及Nicolas Bourriaud關係美學的整理陳述下，參與者(觀者)與作品和作者的關係已經沒有分界。 

延續其討論，SiOUSiOU使用「約會」與「無規範的對談」的形式，聚焦「對話」所蘊含的風光，希望把當代藝術的觀看私密化，進而卸下它的門檻，讓觀者在三方關係中，找到舒適、刺激與挑釁的立足點。

A day before the Valentine's day, four artists (Status Single) from taiwan and Hong Kong are invited to the gallery to a speed dating event SiOUSiOU is hosting. 

Free exhibition: 2/10 - 2/15 15:00-21:00
Dating night: 2/13 19:00 - 22:30
To be sited on the dating table, you will need to buy a drink. No reservation. First come first serve. 

Four artists will be sitting in the middle of the exhibition space, amongst their work, to have a 15 minutes speed dating experience with the viewers. 
The 'winer' of the game, will receive a ticket to the sound performance event hosts by White Fungus at Huashan on the 2/14. Four lucky participants will be going with the artist. 

By reversing the order of meeting the Art works and the artist, the viewers are situated in a space amongst both of them, a chance of conversation is presented, The conversation sprout, the life of the art works develops, it then grown into a culture landscape of locals. 

The way of viewing is not unidirectional, much like meeting a person. 
The existence of arts is not isolated from the crowd either, as the conversation develops from the question : if a tree falls in a forest. 
What SiOUSiOU is focusing on in the contemporary arts, we found the possibilities of collision of artist, art works and the viewers, the most precious element of it. 
The discussion of blurred the boundaries of the three are evident in many classic such as FIU (1973) by Joseph Beuys,The Factory (1984) by Andy Warhol and the Essay Esthetique Relationnelle ( relational aesthetics ) (1998) by Nicolas Bourriaud,

SiOUSiOU is continuing the discussion by bring speed dating form into the gallery, focusing on the conversation element, hoping to personalise the art viewing experience and may the viewers find a place between the three weather its comfortable or exciting to them.
