主題一:錄映太奇‎媒體藝術收藏  Videotage Media Art Collection
 
VMAC「錄映太奇媒體藝術收藏」由鮑藹倫與梁學彬策劃執行,自1983年開始收藏及保存超過200件香港藝術家的珍貴錄像及媒體作品,此次籌畫兩個節目主題,分別為:
 
Videotage Media Art Collection(VMAC) has over 200 video works made by HK artists from 1983 up to now. The collection is one of the earliest archive of HK experimental video. Ellen Pau and Isaac Leung are contributing curators for VMAC. Two programs will be presented from VMAC.
 
 
 
錄像節目一 :彼岸觀自在(共62分20秒)Program 1: Both Sides Now (total 62: 20 min)
 
「這麼近那麼遠」挑選了香港藝術家於1989年至2013年間創作的錄像藝術、動畫及紀錄片,節目重新詮釋了1997前後香港的歷史進程,藉著探鑽這些已被社會主流排斥或遺忘的影像,再度解讀香港此刻的社會現實的視角。
 
Both sides now - Somewhere between Hong Kong and the UK is the first phase of a long term project that proposes (historical) re-readings of artists' moving image from Hong Kong and the UK. By selecting video works of art, animations and documentary films produced by Hong Kong and British artists from 1989 to 2013, “Both sides now” is a reinterpretation of the experience of here and now in the times of before and after 1997.
 
The curators of “Both sides now” looked into the potentially excluded and forgotten moving images of these two places and through a series of exchanges symposia, exhibition and screenings “Both sides now” not only exemplifies the ways in which Hong Kong and British artists constructed meaning about their homeland but also suggested the manifold of historical interconnectedness between Hong Kong and the UK.

錄像節目二 : 侊動領域 Program 2:  “The shifting territory” (Tentative title)
 
節目展望城市空間的互動和交流。於層層現實、虛幻與記憶當中,錄像記錄了香港這個遊走於兩難之間的侊動領域。
 
A video compilation that unfolds the interaction and exchanges in the urban spaces. In between layers of reality, imagination and the memory, these video captured Hong Kong as a shifting territory moving between a rock and a hard place.

主題二:C&G「床下底」影像分享會 “Under the bed” screening and sharing
 
錄像於世越來越普及,亞水亞茂都話拍片,還要上載到哪裡哪裡,連公公、婆婆都表示要用相機、手機拍片,這已表示拍片等如生活的一部分。從事藝術活動的藝術家、藝術工作者,固然知道拍片等如生活的一部分,但他們拍的片又與一般有何分別?據我們所知,大多數視覺藝術家都曾創作短片 / 錄像作品,但總有部分因不同緣故而沒機會公開展示,而擱置床下底。
 
C&G (Clara & Gum) are two Hong Kong artists who have founded the art space: C&G Artpartment in Hong Kong, China, in 2007. With a strong concern over the local art ecology, C&G use their art to respond to social and cultural issues. Also, they help develop new flavors in the local art scene, and provide art education programs for the public in their art space. Their essential goal is to fill up the crack in the current art scene, and allow C&G Artpartment becomes an art space for idea exchanges.
 
C&G藝術單位籌劃「床下底」這系列放映會活動,於2013年12月份首次舉行,至今已舉辦了十六次分享,應邀藝術家包括老中青,並仍然活躍創作,對香港藝術發展有高度期望的。我們希望藉「床下底」活動,可以讓觀眾了解藝術家拍片的創作理念、內容、製作過程、遇到困難、擱置床下底的原因,到最終又決定公開展示的理由。
 
The political situation in Hong Kong is worrying, but C&G decide to keep on the  "Under The Bed" sharing session, to encourage more non-linear thinking modes and actions to build up strength for this long-term resistance movement.
 
 
 
精選「床下底」放映及分享 “Under the bed” screening and sharing
 
放映共五位香港藝術家的錄像作品,全部錄像來自藝術家在學時期的創作可見不少藝術家於開始接觸、認識、學習、探討、以至創作藝術前期,都以表達自己處於前路迷糊而引申出的心理忐忑,同時又見到藝術家在學時勇於挑戰形式、規範、學術權威和藝術的意義。錄像包括紀錄性、實驗性、隨機性、戲劇性、行為展演、重新演繹,最長錄像放映約35分鐘,最短為十多秒,共約一小時

黃榮臻Wayne Wong

大學時期於中國廣州美術學院唸書,接受蘇聯式傳統素描繪畫訓練,但本科是當代藝術創作。反映藝術系畢業後要面對的創作前路漫漫。錄像以幻燈逐一播放傳統素描繪畫作品,背景音樂選自徐小鳳主唱的「漫漫前路」
 
Wayne Wong is a mixed media artist from HK. He graduated in Bachelor of Arts  (Majoring in oil painting) in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2008 and is studying for his Master degree of Visual Art in Hong Kong Baptist University. His work explores hidden impulsive fragments of living through specific occasion, time and space, often touching on fact and fiction, historical and autobiographical events.
 
 
 
魂游Wen Yau

具演藝元素,由藝術家與她當時的大學同學共同編、導、演的錄像短片。題材抽象,突顯不是大學主修藝術的創作者的創意想像,呈現不同時期的生命狀態、慾望和想像。
 
Wen Yau As a cross-media artist, researcher, curator and writer, wen yau has been concentrating on performance/live art and time-based media in the last few years. Her works often grapple with cultural difference and intimacy in public space.
 
 
 
馬琼珠 Ivy Ma

實驗性、隨機性,~8’
 
共十四條超短錄像。生活化的場景,加上奇怪角度的觀察,多數片長只有半分鐘,可見藝術家對創作概念的高度壓縮與直接表達。
 
Cultivating an aesthetic characterized by quietness and stillness, Ivy Ma's work becomes, ultimately, a philosophical reflection on nature and history. Looking, collecting, drawing and thinking, Ivy works her way through history to find what we might call "the human thread" running through everything.
 
 
 
阿金 Gum
 
香港藝術學院導師年展開幕之《踩場》

以藝術系學生的身份,在2002年藝術學院導師年度藝術展的開幕禮期間,以標新立異的奇裝異服,配以喪禮的音樂,踩入展場,大膽地諷刺學院導師的作品不值一看,要看就看新一代。
 
Gum was born in Hong Kong. In 1998, Gum completed the social work programme at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He graduated with distinction of Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) in Drawing, at RMIT University in 2002. In 2007, Gum received M.A. in Comparative and Public History from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His artworks explore various media, like painting, drawing, performance, stop-motion animation, photography, video and installation
