台北青年管樂團
台北青年管樂團 成立於1979年，簡稱「青管®」，是台灣最早成立的管樂團之一。目前成員皆為音樂系主修管樂之畢業生，現有近三十位擁有國外音樂研究所碩士學位及演奏家文憑，並有多位任職於國家音樂廳交響樂團、台北市立交響樂團等國內職業樂團，及任教於大專音樂科系與各級中小學校音樂實驗班。由於海外團員幾乎全員歸隊，演奏水準可說達到青管®成立以來的最高點，這些音樂會每次演出後立刻在國內樂壇造成轟動。1997年冬季更榮獲行政院文化建設委員會遴選為「傑出音樂團隊」。為了使青管®的演奏能往更精深與更廣泛的兩極紮根，目前青管®擁有幾個不同性質的演奏團體，包括由歸國學人與資深團員組成，以嘗試「精緻化」管樂合奏為目標的「管樂合奏團」（Wind Orchestra）；還有以目前大專與社會人士喜愛管樂、具有相當水準之演奏技術者所組成的「交響管樂團」（Symphonic Band）；更有以教育養成管樂人才為目標的兩個青少年與少年管樂團（Concert Band）。
有鑑於國內學習管樂及爵士樂人口日益增加，在音樂總監侯宇彪的號召下，于2008年成立「台北青年管樂團附屬爵士大樂團」（Jazz Orchestra），由薩克斯風演奏家李承育擔任指揮，豎笛演奏家李政修、長號演奏家蔡怡文等擔任指導老師。期以青管®三十年的專業樂團演奏及教學經驗，輔以優質行政團隊支援，培養出台灣最具代表性之爵士大樂團。這些不同風格型態的管樂組合，相信能帶給國內管樂演奏更豐富的多樣性。
Founded in 1979, Taipei Wind Orchestra has been actively performing classic standard wind ensemble repertoire to the contemporary for almost 20 years around the country under the baton of Yui-Biau Hou.
Virtually, all of the players bring live performance credentials that usually includes degrees from major schools in the USA, Asia and Europe. The group, Taipei Wind Orchestra, has a large number percentage of selected students and professional Musicians around the Taipei metropolitan area. Consisted by three groups, Brass Choir, Youth symphonic band, senior wind ensemble, Taipei Wind Orchestra has participated in the development and the expansion of the repertoire and the refinement of performance level by collaborating with living composers and world renowned artists to educate the musicians and audiences of the future. Taipei Wind Orchestra's role in education includes a program of workshops and masterclasses in many schools and military bands around the island.
One of this country's leading performing ensemble, Taipei Wind Orchestra continues its mission to develop and refine the classic and the latest wind ensemble repertoire.
