非常廟藝文空間VT Artsalon
邁入第一個十年的VT，持續以更專業、前瞻性與學術性的內容灌溉這塊園地，2015年3月起，VT的總監將由何孟娟接任。過去九年，VT以每兩年更換一次藝術總監的方式營運，除了讓空間持續保有活力之外，也可以重新審視各項決策及年度計劃。2006年3月，VT Artsalon非常廟藝文空間(簡稱VT)於台北市伊通街正式成立。歷經九年努力，VT破除了外界對藝術家空間（artist-run space）的刻板印象，不但在新生北路上找到自己的家，也於2012年起逐步受邀各類型國際博覽會、雙年展及駐村交換計劃。不僅深耕台灣當代藝術，也建立起VT特有的國際接軌橋樑。過去九年來，VT累積了豐富的展覽經驗，進一步發展藝術家應該如何被詮釋與呈現，如何凸顯新的思維、態度甚至立場。透過展覽、論壇與出版活動，VT在看似毫無章法的營運過程中累積出了一個獨特品牌。
VT未來的重點工作之一，將放在促進各國藝術家空間與學術單位的策略聯盟之上，並持續推展台灣當代藝術的國際能見度。新年度國際合作計畫包含德國空間交換駐村計畫，以及正在洽談合作的土耳其、德國慕尼黑、紐約、墨西哥等藝術機構。
目前VT發行的「非常評論」刊物，經過兩年24期的營運，秉持不干涉學術獨立的立場，期待可以提供年輕藝評人自由發輝的空間，其中多位藝評人也因「非常評論」曝光而獲邀於藝術雜誌邀請寫稿。未來除了積極把「非常評論」這份評論性刊物英語化與數位化之外，亦將以國際觀眾作為主要閱讀族群，積極露出台灣當代藝術的面貌及其在國際文化版圖上應有的位置。
即將邁入第一個十年的VT，將透過累積的經驗與開創獨特品牌的精神，呈現「一群藝術家的選擇」，這便是VT得以存在的重要價值，它呈現一個更加貼近前線的藝術觀察，以及一種強韌的在地創造力。
About to enter its first decade, VT will consistently engage in contemporary art with professional, forward-looking, and academic prospects. Meanwhile, Isa Ho will be appointed as the new Director of VT from March 2015. Over the past nine years, VT has operated by having a new Director every two years, which helps to maintain the dynamism of the space, allowing for re-examination of the decision-making and annual plans.
In March 2006, VT Artsalon (hereinafter VT) was officially established on Yi Tong Street, Taipei. After a nine-year effort, VT has shed the stereotype of the artist-run space by finding a permanent home on Xinsheng North Street; since 2012, VT has been invited to various international art fairs, biennales, and residency exchange programs. VT not only cultivates Taiwanese contemporary art, but it also bridges the channel to the global art scenes. Over the past nine years, VT has accumulated rich experiences in exhibitions to further develop artists, regarding how they should be interpreted and presented, how to present new perspectives, attitudes, even positions. Through exhibitions, forums and publishing, VT has gradually established its unique band by organizing these seemingly disarrayed yet multidimensional activities.
One of the future priorities for VT will be placed on the strategic alliance and collaboration with academic institutions and oversea artist-run spaces and continued promotion of Taiwanese contemporary art at the international arena. The new annual international collaboration includes residency exchange in Germany and the discussion of working projects with art institutes in Turkey, Munich, New York, and Mexico.
VT’s monthly publication Very View, after twenty-four issues in the past two years, has maintained its position on the academic independence, and is expectedly to provide young art critic the space and freedom to hone their voices. Many critics whose writings were published in Very View are invited to write for other art magazines. Very View will also be released in a digital English version to target on the international audience, with the goal to present the multidimensional qualities of Taiwanese contemporary art and to find its right spot on the international cultural scene.
Stepping into its first decade, VT has accumulated rich experiences and developed the spirit of its unique brand, maintaining "the choice of a group of artists" as the core value of this space. It presents an artistic observation closer to the frontier and a resilient local creativity.
