The Hermit/ artist has internalized the lessons of life to the point that he is the lesson. The Hermit/artist, as a kind of shamanistic hero, has made the complete journey – both the withdrawal and the return. As Joseph Campbell said, “A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man.”

藝術家將其人生旅程化作/畫作內在涵養。藝術家本人即是人生的一堂課。身為異國經驗豐富之旅者/創作者，藝術家引用神話學作者Joseph Cambell之言：「主角跳脫了日常生活，進行了超自然的冒險之旅，擁有驚人的能量與體驗，在冒險中獲得勝利。從其奇異之旅回到此地，帶著旅途所集之能量，分享給眾人。」

訴說隱者/藝術家，以置身城市，置心市內，置智市外的方式，分享其作品。

Ryan Greenly’s artwork are filled with comtemplation of philosophical thoughts to the society, searching to the natural spirit, and art intuition. Ryan Greenly has been in Art Residency at Artist Village, Taipei, and he has had solo shows in Hawaii and Tokyo.

Ryan Greenly的作品充滿靈性與藝術直覺，並富涵哲學性的社會沈思。他曾在臺北國際藝術村駐村，並在日本和夏威夷舉行個展。
